Dubai is building a name for itself when it comes to extravagant hotels just as it is for interesting and unusual architecture. You can stay in an underwater suite, swim with the dolphins and even dine at a Nobu. The Atlantis The Palm, which opened Sept. 10, 2008, is on the man-made island Palm Jumeirah.
Deal: U.S. passengers who fly Emirates Airlines round trip to Dubai can get two free nights at the new Atlantis The Palm for flying first class. Business class fliers get one free night, based on single or double room occupancy. The package also includes unlimited access to Aquaventure and the Lost Chambers, a maze of underwater halls and tunnels. We all know that first class and business class tickets aren’t cheap, but neither are the rooms. I checked out the Deluxe and Atlantis guest rooms for two midweek nights in November and the total price came to $1,348.
Note: Emirates service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Dubai (DXB) begins Oct. 26 and from San Francisco (SFO) on Dec. 15, 2008.
When: For travel from Oct. 1 to Dec. 24, 2008
Contact: Emirates Airlines, (800) 777-2999

Have been to Dubai once, and it is truly remarkable there- so futuristic and modern- it’s basically a city for the Jetsons. I can’t wait to go back. The non-stop flight will be amazing, since my last trip there took nearly 30 hours with layovers. And to fly on Emirates, a top-rated airline! I even hear they have private cabins, where you can close off the world. Very cool.

We went to Dubai for our honeymoon. I seriously believe its the best place on the planet. No crime, everybody is very polite, the best service, so many wonderful things, like the indoor ski slope, awesome diving, the dessert tour…I love Dubai so much!
The Atlantis hotel sounds soo awesome! I hope we can stay in one of the underwater suites someday soon, how amazing would that be! I will probably want to visit again once the amusement park is finished, sounds fabulous!!
