Disneyland issues VIP FastPasses to celebrities, fights the sale of the line-cutting tickets online and dreams of a day when visitors can reserve ride times via cellphone.
So that raises the obvious question: Would visitors pay to use the theme park giant’s currently free FastPass system?
Disney theme parks around the world offer variations on the FastPass ride reservation system, which allows visitors to return to an attraction at a designated time and enter via a shorter line.
* Hong Kong Disneyland sells a $25 Star Pass booklet that offers “priority entrance” to six of the theme park’s most popular attractions.
* Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Fla., is testing a new centralized FastPass distribution system in which visitors pick up all their line-hopper passes at a single location, according to Mice Age.
* Disneyland Paris provides VIP FastPasses to visitors staying at on-property hotels that offer “immediate access” to nine attractions at the resort’s two theme parks.
Vote: Would you pay for FastPass perks at Disney theme parks?
Mice Age reports that surveys inside Disney parks have asked visitors their attitudes toward a paid FastPass system. Competitors like Six Flags and Universal Studios impose a fee for similar front-of-line privileges.
Disneyland officials said there are no plans to change the FastPass system in Anaheim at this time.

If I were rich yes, but see all of you rich folks on this site say yes no problem, but those of us who have to save for years just to go to a Disney park get the shaft. You AP holders are the same way, couldn’t care less about all the people who dream of a possible once in a lifetime WDW trip or very rare DL trip. It used to be that if you got a trip from Disney you got special ability to get multiple passes, go back to that. At least that would be a possible affordable way to do it and Disney would get the extra profit from their travel service instead of 3rd party places.
