We’re tripping over travel deals, there are so many of them. But deep discounts are more readily found in some markets over others, and one of those better values for money this year seems to be in Alaska cruises. Cruising prices in the state are down by up to 40% over 2008, according to research cited in trade publication Travel Weekly.
May shoulder-season prices are typically lower than summertime rates, though some of the deals on right now are valid for June trips as well. Below are a few particularly well-priced sailings coming up, including a 13-night sailing recently mentioned by Times blogger Jen Leo. The per-person fares are based on double occupancy, and taxes and other fees are not included.
