Cozumel, Mexico - underwater photo-video diving event

Aqua Dreams Travel

Are you a snap-happy diver itching to improve your underwater photography or video-taking skills? If so, chances are you’ll like the sounds of the upcoming Dive Chronicles Digital Jam 2008, where you can congregate with other divers in Cozumel, Mexico, for days of diving and learning.

Deal: For $729 per person (including tax and based on double occupancy), you’ll receive five nights’ accommodation at Hotel Cozumel & Resort (which claims to hold the largest swimming pool in Cozumel), four days of scuba diving, three daily meals, all beverages at the hotel, and transfers to and from the airport. Don’t forget to tip the dive staff –- that’s extra.

But the unique draw of this particular event, of course, is the educational component: all seminars, presentations and clinics on underwater photography and video are included in the package. Bring your own camera, practice your skills during your stay, and enter your best in the Dive Chronicles Digital Jam competition, in which winning program participants will be awarded over $10,000 in prizes, including a live-aboard trip and diving gear.

When: This second annual event is Aug. 28-Sept. 2, 2008.

My friend did the last Digital Jam and it was horrible. I’d advise not attending this event. There are tons of other better events to participate in for underwater photography and Scuba.
