This one’s for you AAA members out there: The American Automobile Assn. has partnered with the Westin South Coast Plaza, in Costa Mesa, Calif., to offer a special ready-made weekender package. With food vouchers, shopping discounts and more, you won’t have a lot of weekend planning to do; just turn up and be ready to sleep, eat and shop.

Deal: “The AAA Weekend Getaway Package,” which starts at $519 (pre-tax), includes the following for you and your traveling companion: a room for two nights, Godiva chocolates as a welcome amenity, one $75 voucher for dinner at Pinot Provence, one $50 voucher for lunch at Quattro Café, one $40 voucher for brunch at Scott’s seafood restaurant, use of South Coast Plaza’s spa and a late checkout of 4 p.m. (if available).

You’ll also get a South Coast Plaza VIP Passport, which offers discounts and gifts at certain mall retailers; the promotion page values this at $400. But I’ll be truly impressed with your gung-ho shopping skills if you milk that kind of value from it.
