Continental flies solo; ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’; EOS shuts down

Continental, Delta and Lufthansa aircraft line up for takeoff at Frankfurt International Airport in Frankfurt, Germany

Good morning travelers! I hope you had a great weekend.

I saw “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” this weekend and Turtle Bay Resort got just as much exposure as Jason Segel’s you-know-what. A large portion of the film was shot at Turtle Bay, located on the North Shore of Oahu. I checked out their website and even the rooms look a lot alike.

If “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” enticed you to try a Hawaiian getaway, check out Turtle Bay’s “North Shore Romance” package. It includes a Hertz convertible rental, daily buffet breakfast and champagne with strawberries starting at $502 per night (pre-tax, two-night minimum).

In other aviation news, the all-business-class airline Eos (which was contracted by Maxjet back in Dec. ‘07 to accommodate their New York-London passengers when Maxjet ceased operations) shut down and canceled all flights after April 27, 2008. [Upgrade: Travel Better]

Shark attack update | San Diego beaches that were closed following the fatal shark attack last week will reopen Monday.
