If you’ll be stomping about New York City in the latter half of December or early January, you can’t miss the Empire State Building, dressed in her festive finest. Throughout the holidays, the 1,454-foot-tall icon in Midtown Manhattan will be lighting up its tower lights in holiday colors.

The east and west sides of the building will illuminate blue and white for Hanukkah Dec. 19-22, and then the north and south sides will be red and green for Christmas on Dec. 23-28. During the period of Dec. 29-Jan. 6, all sides will be red and green.

Once inside, check out the snow globes in the main lobby, and then speed on up via elevator to the 86th floor to do what you do at the Empire State Building: Take in the unparalleled views of the city around you.

Observatory tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for youth 12-17, $14 for youth 6-11 and $18 for seniors. (Note that the 102nd floor observatory is temporarily closed for renovations.)
