
Good morning travelers! Readers responded to our first posts about the unknown safety of the pandas at the Wolong Nature Reserve so we’ve kept them updated. Yesterday we found out that the pandas, only 20 miles from the epicenter of China’s 7.9 earthquake, were indeed safe, and then we heard from Ron Swaisgood, co-leader of the San Diego Zoo’s panda conservation unit, who is concerned about his friends near Dujiangyan.
Airline news | So, what did you all think of the man who wouldn’t get off his cellphone on the Southwest flight between Austin and Dallas, Texas? Airlines can get fined $25,000 for in-flight cellphone violations. It’ll be interesting to see if Southwest and/or the man gets charged.
