Susan Spano’s Postcards From Rome
Old adage: He who wears a fancy watch while traveling is likely not to have a fancy watch before too long.
I just made that up, but it’s true. I can’t even remember how many watches I’ve lost on the road, which is why I always buy the cheap drugstore variety without any bells and whistles — just the time, thank you very much.
Now, at last, I’ve found an inexpensive travel watch that is also stylish.
Italian-made Too Late watches, priced around $25, went on the market last year. They have simple digital clocks set in stretchy rubber bands. Sold in three sizes and water-resistant, Too Lates come in all the bright colors of Kool-Aid, with new shades appearing every season.
People who are really into Too Late watches wear two or three of them at a time. Others choose colors to match their favorite outfits. Mine is bubblegum pink, and I love it.

Where can I purchase these watches? Their website won’t ship and bill to the U.S.
Thanks, Wende West

I bought one in Rome and I JUST LOVE IT. Can’t wait to wear it while playing tennis and shaking hands afterwards.

As Wende West is wondering, I too, would like to know where I can purchase the Italian-made Too Late watch.
Thanks, Mary Ann Bruce
