Cheap flights in Europe with easyJet and Ryanair

Easyjet summer saleGetting to Europe is the expensive part, (see Tim Ferriss’ tip if you want to piece together a cheap alternative). But once you’re over there, there are cheap flights to get you from country to country. Here are some flights from easyJet and Ryanair who appear to be in a summer price war. Grab your tickets for June and July while the cheap fares last.

Tip: On easyJet, once you plug in your travel dates and get your options, click on their “find the lowest fares” tab and let them show you which dates are offering the cheapest tickets. Ryanair will require a bit more clicking.

easyJet
Base + tax + total fare then converted to U.S. Dollars
Amsterdam to London: €14.99 + €18.00 = €32.99 ($44)
London Gatwick to Barcelona: £19.99 + £17.00 = £36.99 ($73)
Belfast to Rome: £22.99 + £15.00= £37.99 ($75)
Paris to Nice: €55.49 + €20.00= €75.49 ($101)
London Luton to Krakow: £27.99 + £17.00= £44.99 ($88)

Ryanair
Base + tax + total fare then converted to U.S. Dollars
Brussels to Venice: €2.99 + €14.79 = €17.78 ($24)
Dublin to Pisa: €19.99 + €22.74= €42.73 ($57)
London Stansted to Krakow: £19.99 + £25.20= £45.19 ($89)
Barcelona to Frankfurt: €2.99 + €16.42= €19.41 ($26)
Berlin to Dublin: €19.99 + €20.17= €40.16 ($54)

Critique: Fares are so low that the taxes and fees can be more than the base price of the ticket.

Low Priced Guarrantee: For easyJet, book by June 15 for travel through July 31 if you want to participate in their “double the difference” offer. This means that if you find a cheaper fare for the same route and in and out of the same airports, they’ll double the difference of the ticket for you. Ryanair also has a low-priced guarantee with double the difference.
