Hurricane Ike hit the Turks and Caicos islands hard last night, especially in the South Caicos and Grand Turk. There were no reported deaths, but many homes lost their roofs as well as power. Turks & Caicos Free Press has a running list of news reports, but I found the most compelling information source to be the Caribbean Hurricane Network. Here, locals are talking about their experiences, specific areas that were hit and evacuation meet-ups in Miami.
Storm Pulse (above) is tracking the projected path of Hurricane Ike as it heads for Cuba at 15 mph.

Been watching this site which is run by someone in Provo who took some footage they’ll be updating soon. http://www.mogulus.com/wiv4 There is some chat too with people hearing from others on cell phones etc.
