Catalina Island - Win a trip to see the flying fish
Flying fish are no myth on Catalina Island come summer. From May through September every year, these fish come to the waters surrounding the island, soaring to heights of up to 30 feet above water. This year the oooh-and-aaah-inducing spectacle will be celebrated by the island’s first Flying Fish Festival and, thanks to a contest put on by the Catalina Island Chamber of Commerce, one lucky family will get a free stay on the island to take part in all the fun.
Deal: All you have to do to enter the random drawing is fill out the contest’s online form by midnight on Memorial Day, May 26, 2008. The grand-prize winner will receive a two-night stay for up to four family members at a Catalina Island Vacation Rentals condo or cottage on the nights of May 30-31, 2008 (the festival runs May 29 through June 1). The prize package also includes four round-trip tickets from San Pedro, Long Beach or Dana Point to Avalon, California, aboard the Catalina Express and four tickets for Discovery Tours’ Flying Fish Boat Trip.
The “multiple” second-prize placers have the option to purchase four tickets for the boat ride — for the inaugural season trip on the evening of May 30, 2008 — for the 1924 price of 50 cents apiece. The regular price for the tour is $19.50 for adults and $14.75 for children.
Festival: Even if you don’t get a free ride there, want to catch the fish fest? The four days on the island will be packed with activities, including the 4th Annual Taste-Around of Avalon, art and musical performances, educational talks, sand sculptures and a parade. This is very much a family-friendly event, with lots to keep the kids entertained.

I would love to go to see and take my kids for a vacation they have been through so much this would be a good small get away they just lost their father and heeling is hard i think to get away from everything would be nice

All three of my sisters are graduating and this would be the perfect gift to give them for their graduation.
