Catalina Island: free night’s stay at new Aurora Hotel

A standard room at Aurora HotelThis promotion is the best reason I’ve come across in a while to take off a couple days from L.A. living midweek and head over to Catalina Island. The deal is being offered by the island’s newest hotel, Aurora Hotel, which just opened in mid-February.

Deal: Book one night at the hotel, and get your second night free. This offer is valid for any of the hotel’s 15 standard rooms or three suites. Midweek in-season rates generally run $250 (pre-tax) per night for standard rooms, and $465-$695 for suites.

When: Good for stays starting Sunday through Wednesday nights, from now until June 25, 2008.

Tip: Why stop at two nights? Take full advantage of this promotion by booking four nights for the price of two.

Connect/disconnect: Rooms are equipped with complementary Wi-Fi as well as hardwire connections. Not only that, but the hotel has laptops, GPS units and binoculars to loan free to guests.

Contact: Aurora Hotel, (310) 510-0454 or (800) 422-6836
