California water parks opening for 2008 summer season

Knott's Soak City water parkWith the calendar turning to May, summer unofficially gets underway as the major water parks in California open for the season.

With the 100-degree days we’ve had over the last few weeks, the watery relief can’t come soon enough.

Unfortunately, none of the major California water parks plans any new attractions for 2008.

The changes:
> Raging Waters in San Dimas adds a new restaurant, restrooms and parking lot trams.
> Knott’s Soak City in Palm Springs offers four new VIP cabanas with misters.
> Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia serves up outdoor barbecue at Cowabunga Burgers.
