I’ve been up and down it innumerable times, but give me innumerable more because I’ll never get tired of the California coast. If you’re looking for a reason to get a sea-breezy, short road trip in soon, Broughton Hospitality Group has a special offer that may just interest you.
Deal: The “Cruise the Coast” package offers, with your discounted accommodations purchase, a welcome bottle of wine, a $25 gas rebate (given at check-out) and free valet parking. Continental breakfast is also included. Rates vary, depending on which hotel(s) you pick and what night(s) you stay. Weekend nights, of course, are going to cost more than midweek nights.
The participating hotels are the Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica; the Inn at East Beach in Santa Barbara; the Inn of the Spanish Garden in Santa Barbara; Wine Valley Inn in Solvang, California (not coastal, but close enough, I guess); and Orchid Inn in San Simeon, California. To book, go to the respective hotel’s website, and click on the “Cruise the Coast” image on the front page.
When: Now through Aug. 31, 2008.
Tested: I didn’t thoroughly investigate each hotel’s availability, but in my random search, the least-expensive package I found was a midweek rate of $85 per night (pre-tax) at Solvang’s Wine Valley Inn. At San Simeon’s Orchid Inn, the common rate midweek seems to be $149 per night, while at Santa Barbara’s Inn at East Beach, a midweek stay will probably cost you at least $170, with the weekend rate jumping to $295.
