If you’re a “Burner” you’ve had your travel plans set for weeks. Aug. 27 – Sept. 3 is Burning Man 2007, and the trek to Black Rock Desert in Nevada is soon to begin. If you’ve never heard of Burning Man, it’s a giant festival in the desert where tens of thousands of people build a temporary community and put self-expression (and self-reliance) on a pedestal. It’s not for spectators or lookie loos – just participants. Think of it as a living breathing art gallery and you’re on the right track, but it’s still a destination to be experienced not defined. This year the theme is “The Green Man,” and Burning Man has it’s own Enviroblog.
