Richard Stenger is sure of one true thing.
“We want everyone to know that Bigfoot is from Humboldt,” says the media and marketing spokesman from the Humboldt County Convention & Visitors Bureau. His comments come after two men held a press conference today to proclaim that they found Bigfoot in northern Georgia — and have the body on ice to prove it.
Stenger thinks the pictures circulated by Matt Whitton and Rick Dyer look a lot like the Bigfoot in this video of the great beast frolicking among the redwoods with his Northern California friends. (Yes, the visitors bureau shot this just last week, and credit Rick and Matt St. Charles with the great camera work.)
Actually, Stenger points out that Bigfoot was born in Humboldt about 50 years ago when he was sighted — and named (he had previously been referred to as Sasquatch) — for the huge footprints reportedly found at Willow Creek, about an hour east of Arcata. “Within three days, it made huge international headlines,” Stenger said.
From there, Bigfoot became a huge cottage industry up there: the Bigfoot Museum and Statue, the annual Bigfoot celebration, even the local Blue Lake Casino claims Bigfoot as its mascot.
So what better way to celebrate the 50th anniversary than to demonstrate to the world the Bigfoot-Humboldt connection. “Why does he live in Humboldt? Because he loves redwoods. We have half of the world’s old-growth redwoods,” Stenger crows.
Check out the visitors bureau website to find out how you can win a trip to Willow Creek.

us believers will be the last ones laughing when bigfoot is proven real and all of you are flocking to a zoo to see one, theres gana be a nation wide hunt to get a live one right after tom biscartti and his team of scientist prove to this narrow minded and inept nation that bigfoot is infact the missing link- this is going to open the door to the cryptozoological community and all you people can say is that hippis mated with bears, now that does sound stupid

Being a native of Humboldt County I am well aware of the Willow Creek Bigfoot connection. The local yore and community events regarding the legend of Bigfoot, bring tourist dollars to the area.
Oh and hippies don’t give a crap what you think of them.

I’m a Bigfoot and I’m searching for the humans who found me and saved my life. They were brother and sister(yep, married) and drove a pickup truck! I hope someone can help me reunite with them!!
Love,
Harry

good thing this aint on TV or you’d be hit with Nipplegate again, but the thing here is that the costume has already had the malfunction naturally. is really good, but the report said that there were three extras hanging about in trees watching out for their buddy, so am a bit depressed that you could only come up with lil Abner and Daisy. A few more Yokums would have been okay.
So it’s got to be real cause it’s in the LATimes which is by all records a most highly reputable rag with a few Pulitzers to prove it.
Now all those other states will be jealous to have their own– Alaska and Washington particularly. True, it seems Alaska’s Bigfoot put them in his mouth in federal hearings for corruption, but the investigators are making tracks.
Oh Washington oh Washington where is thy Bigfoot? Blown up by Mt St Helens it seems?

I think I saw Bigfoot’s parents when I was at a local shoe store. They didn’t have their size.
