Delta fliers take note (because we’re only going to explain this once): Some of you may qualify for a baggage-fee rebate, but only if you’re proactive.
You may know about the recently imposed $25 fee for a second checked bag at Delta Air Lines. But did you know Delta is offering a “second checked bag rebate program”?
Here’s the criteria: The rebate applies to those who bought tickets before April 9 — the date Delta announced the baggage fee charge — for travel after May 5. You have to complete an online form to request a rebate. Did you keep your fee receipt? You may or may not need it. It’s hard to tell from the instructions.
