Susan's been a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times since 1990, waxing poetic about films, TV, theater and DVD. She's only been to Europe once, but traveled all around the country with here parents in their 1956 Buick Century and eventually a 1966 Dodge Coronet that actually had air conditioning. She remembers staying at a lot of Best Western motels that shouldn't have been called "best" and ahaving to share the back seat with the family parakeets Tweety and Redford because her mom insisted that the birds couldn't be left at home.
