Sr. Editor/Producer | L.A. Times Travel (travel.latimes.com). Prior to joining The Times, Andrew ran the San Francisco office of an Australian adventure travel outfitter. As a travel writer, he's visited 40-odd countries on 6 continents, mostly on assignment for Fodor's (Random House) and Lonely Planet. In its heyday, Andrew was the senior editor and producer of the Webby award-winning travel website, lonelyplanet.com. In 2005, his Top Trails Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks hiking guidebook won the National Outdoor Book Award for Best Adventure Guidebook. He's equally at home camping out in the thick of backcountry grizzly bear habitat as he is nesting with his wife and young son in a wild, skunk-infested urban niche of the east side of Los Angeles.
