If you’re traveling to Australia this spring, check out the sale that low cost carrier Tiger Airways is having. They’ve expanded their routes and are selling tickets as low as 10 AUD before taxes. Tiger’s new routes include Melbourne to Hobart, Canberra and Newcastle too—Tiger’s first destination in New South Wales. Six additional locations will be available for travel March through July, 2008 including the Gold Coast and Perth. CAVEAT: You must buy your tickets today.
Deal: Tiger is making 40,000 tickets available at the introductory prices. Most fares will be $10 each-way. I found a round-trip flight from Melbourne to Hobart, Tasmania for a total of 20 AUD, or $18 U.S. dollars in mid-January, 2008.
When: One-day sale October 29, 2007 for travel Melbourne to Newcastle begins January 18, Melbourne to Hobart begins January 15 and Melbourne to Canberra begins February 14 and ending by September 30, 2008.
