Apple iPhone giveaway at 33 Omni hotels
Stop by an Omni hotel including the three California hotels (Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California plaza, Omni San Diego Hotel and Omni San Francisco Hotel) and enter to win a coveted iPhone. We already told you about the cool mapping capabilities, but word on the message boards is that Apple’s summer hit is temporarily sold out.
Deal: Win a free iPhone by stopping by an Omni hotel. No purchase is necessary but you do need to be age 18 or over. There will also be “apple hour” with appletinis at select hotels on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. (drawing at 7 p.m.); after three calls to the Omni Los Angeles nobody could confirm this event. Both the operator and the concierge knew nothing about the promotion. The woman at the front desk had the entry forms but said she wouldn’t know anything about an event until the night before (tomorrow night).

Um. Actually you might want to do a bit of research beyond, “the message boards.” According to Apple’s website, every store in California (and just about every one in the country) has the iPhone in stock.
