Fly RT to the UK in 2008 & get a free companion ticket to the Caribbean in 2009

Quintessential Caribbean: From the Club Med beach at Turks and Caicos, BWI

A deal is only as good as the ability to use it. American Airlines has a decent special on hand, but there are a few prerequisites: Do you have a travel partner, and can you take two international trips within a year? If those sound doable, tune in.

Deal: Buy and take one round-trip flight between the U.S. or Canada and the UK and get a free companion ticket for future travel to the Caribbean (not including tax). Register for the deal before you book your flight and use promo code “UKCMP.” Then take a flight during the qualifying period (through Dec. 31, 2008). The free companion ticket is good for travel from Jan. 15 to Dec. 31, 2009.

Caveat: In addition to buying the round-trip ticket between the U.S. or Canada and the UK, you must “opt in” to one of aa.com’s e-mail offers. To get the e-mail offers, you must be an AAdvantage member (free); log in and look for the “My Email and Fare Alerts.”

Tip: Do you want to hear about other airfare companion deals? Here’s one from British Airways.
