Alaska: So many last-minute deals with Denali Park Resorts

If you’re hankering for an end-of-summer getaway, but can’t decide where to go, consider seeing Alaska’s interior at Denali National Park. Denali Park Resorts has a bunch of deals going on right now through mid-September before the summer season closes shop for winter. You might even get to see the Northern Lights!

Deals: Book two nights and get a $100 Visa card plus two Denali Natural History Tours for the price of one. Choose from lodging at the McKinley Chalet, McKinley Village, Denali Bluffs or Grande Denali. Valid through Sept. 17, 2008. Ask for the “Holiday Special.”

If you don’t care about the tour, rooms are 50% off the rack rate. I found availability at the McKinley Village Lodge Sept. 6-8, 2008, starting at $95 per night, pre-tax. Ask for the “Summer Celebration Package.” It was slim pickings at the other resorts, but if you’re hopping between resorts you’ll find single nights available.

Already in Alaska? How about a two-for-one rafting deal? This special is good for the 1 p.m. Canyon Run, Canyon Run Paddle and Wilderness Run rafting adventures through Sept. 15, 2008.
