Alaska: Denali Resorts late summer hiking package

It’s not too late to plan an end of summer trip to Alaska. The “Fall Foliage Special” from Denali Park Resorts is particularly good for travelers that like guided hikes. But note, you’ll have to hurry if you want to choose your resort. The Denali Park Resorts start closing up shop in September.

Deals: The “Fall Foliage” special is $329 and includes two nights at one of the four Denali Park Resorts (McKinley Chalet Resort, McKinley Village Lodge, Denali Bluffs Hotel or Denali Grande Lodge), and two guided hiking excursions. However, the Chalet is the only resort that is open until the 18th. The Mckinley Village will close on the 10th , Denali Grand Lodge closes on the 15th, and Denali Bluffs closes on the 8th. I checked availability for September 14-16 at the Chalet and found that the package price tag includes all taxes and fees and is good for two people in one room. The special indicates this as a deal because if you’re traveling as a two-some you’ll get half off the excursions ($80 savings) and half off the price of the hotel for a night.
