Moaning Cavern: 5350 Moaning Cave Road, Vallecita, Calif., 95251. (866) 762-2837. Two 1,500-feet lines operate at this northern California site in the Sierra Nevadas. Open daily; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. $39 for first ride, $24 for second ride, $20 all subsequent rides on same day. www.california-ziplines.com.

Monteverde, Costa Rica: Selvatura Park, an eco-park with 15 platforms and 18 lines, $45 for the zip-line tour. The only zip line in Costa Rica entirely in a cloud forest.
