Plowing & sheep shearing at Woodstock, Vermont

At Billings Farm & Museum in Woodstock, teamsters with draft horses and oxen compete in a plowing contest, and a sheep-shearing event includes carding and spinning wool.

When, where: Plowing Match, May 6; Sheep Shearing Weekend, May 26 and 27. Billings Farm & Museum, on Vermont 12 at River Road, Woodstock. Admission: $10, $8 ages 13 to 17, $6 ages 5 to 12, $3 ages 3 and 4.
