Soulkitchen at the Red Room Saloon is not the only electronic soundscape playing in Vegas. Some other parties where deep house music is playing:

Back2Back
Where: Jet, inside Mirage, 3400 S. Las Vegas Blvd.; (702) 693-8300
DJs/Dates: Benny Benassi, April 26; Armand Van Helden, May 3
Cover charge: Call for prices.
Doors open: 10:30 p.m.
Web site: www.lightgroup.com
Vibe: Screens dotting the ceiling in the large circular main room display all manner of images that react to the sound booming from the speakers. Aan ideal venue to catch Italian DJ Bennassi (in his first Vegas appearance) and the brutal bass of VanHelden (whose bass will play in your mind long after the music has stopped). Remember: The house room, though much smaller than the main one, is always bumping electronica. Stop by on a Monday night, when it's filled with locals.

Godspeed
Where: Foundation Room, inside Mandalay Bay, 3950 S. Las Vegas Blvd.; (702) 632-7600.
DJs:Keith Evan, plus guests
Cover charge: $30 non-locals
Dates: Mondays
Doors open: 10 p.m.
Web site: www.hob.com
Vibe: At 5 years old, this is one of the longest-running weekly parties of any type. Although electronica isn't the exclusive sound here ('80s and hip-hop can be found in the venue's other two rooms), it has always been a primary component of the soiree. A sophisticated, sexy crowd.

Home
Where: Barcode, 5150 Spring Mountain Road; (702) 221-5150
DJs: Halo and Edgar Reyes, plus guests
Cover charge: Free
Dates: Saturdays
Doors open: 10 p.m.
Vibe: Halo, a Chicago native and the party's resident DJ, is a well-known figure in the underground house scene. This two-story venue — a cross between a bar and a club — is the site of his all-night-long baby.

Reson8
Where:Icehouse Lounge, 650 S. Main St.; (702) 315-2570
DJs: Members of Deton8or crew, plus guests
Cover charge: $5
Dates: Fridays
Doors open: 10 p.m.
Web site: www.icehouselounge.com
Vibe: Though deep and progressive house music dominates the scene, this party celebrates electronica's other subgenres, including tribal and drum 'n' bass. Wide-open atmosphere on two different levels, both outside and in.

Soundbar
Where: Tabu, inside MGM, 3799 S. Las Vegas Blvd.; (702) 891-7183
DJs: Keith Evan , Carlos Sanchez, B. Minogue, plus special guests
Cover charge: $20 gentlemen; $10 ladies
Dates: Thursdays, once a month
Doors open: 10 p.m.
Web site: www.mgmgrand.com
Vibe: This party just turned 6 years old and is known for its friendly atmosphere. Stop by May 23, when San Francisco's Miguel Migs is slated.

Temple Tuesdays
Where: Tao, inside the Venetian, 3377 S. Las Vegas Blvd.; (702) 388-8588
DJs: Galeano, plus guests
Cover charge: free
Dates: Tuesdays
Doors open: 11 p.m.
Web site: www.venetian.com
Vibe: Galeano's party happens to offer a free trip around the world of electronica with sonic flavors.

Where am I?

Should we take offense, order a drink, or what? That depends, of course, on where you think these words turned up.
