Spirit Air starts daily Vegas-Atlantic City service

A new daily nonstop connects Las Vegas and Atlantic City, N.J., the nation's top gambling spots.

Operated by Spirit Airlines, (800) 772-7117, the eastbound flight leaves Las Vegas at 9:10 p.m. and arrives at 5 a.m. the next day in Atlantic City. Westbound, it leaves Atlantic City at 6:25 p.m. and arrives in Las Vegas at 8:30 p.m.

Gamblers in the West who are willing to take the red-eye can hit the tables on the East Coast before dawn and be back in Vegas by nightfall. From there, they can connect to cities throughout the West.

Casino companies with operations in both cities can also shuttle executives between them. Business boosters believe the new flight may also increase Atlantic City's convention business.

Atlantic City International is served by only two commercial carriers, Spirit and Delta Air Lines. From that airport, Spirit serves Detroit, Florida and Myrtle Beach, S.C. Delta flies nonstop from Atlantic City to its Atlanta hub and Orlando, Fla.

Where am I?

Should we take offense, order a drink, or what? That depends, of course, on where you think these words turned up.
