Best Western Hotel Tomo: A San Francisco boutique hotel with a manga theme? That's what this 125-room hotel (formerly the Best Western Miyako Inn) brings to the city's Japantown. Rooms feature bright colors, walls painted with anime-style murals and a modern look. Other extras include flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations and wireless Internet. Two "gaming suites" include bean-bag furniture, 6-foot LCD projection screens, and Sony and Nintendo games.

Info: 1800 Sutter St., San Francisco. Rooms start at $139; player suites go for $500. Call (888) 822-8666 or go to www.jdvhospitality.com .
