Texas: Fiesta San Antonio, ever since 1891

The Fiesta San Antonio kicked off in 1891. Now there are more than 200 events, including waterborne floats in the River Parade; a mariachi Mass; 1,000 costumed dogs in the Pooch Parade; athletic events; fiesta royalty coronations; and a pilgrimage to the Alamo, when the names of those who died there will be read.

When, where: April 20-29 at various locations in San Antonio

Admission: Free-$100
