The Sonoma Valley Film Festival runs from April 11 to 15, 2007 at various locations; (707) 933-2600, www.sonomafilmfest.org.

It's the film festival with its own sommelier. Wines chosen to complement the films precede every screening, along with edibles. Among highlights, a celeb-studded tribute to Pixar's John Lasseter.

Cost: From $10 at the theater door to $1,200 for the priciest festival pass. Most screenings sell out in advance.
