A feast for the nose and stomach at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts

Few "one of kind" experiences turn out to be unique after all, but this one smells like the real deal. Rosewood Hotel & Resorts is pairing food and perfume in a series of "scent dinners" during the next month in Santa Fe, N.M.; Dallas; New York; and Los Cabos, Mexico.

The dinners, limited to about a dozen participants, are hosted by chefs at each site and by Chandler Burr, author of "The Emperor of Scent: A Story of Perfume, Obsession and the Last Mystery of the Senses." Burr and the chefs will match up perfumes with dishes such as free-range suckling pig and "mezquite" baked baguette (see, we told you it was different). Prices vary by location -- $140 per person in Santa Fe and $200 in New York, not including tax and gratuity. Info: (888) ROSEWOOD (767-3966) or www.rosewoodhotels.com.

Where am I?

Should we take offense, order a drink, or what? That depends, of course, on where you think these words turned up.
