Resources for Santa Barbara weddings on any budget

Where to exchange vows.

Romance and Santa Barbara have gone together ever since Vivien Leigh married Laurence Olivier at San Ysidro Ranch in 1940. You can't spend a weekend there now without running into a wedding party. Couples from far and wide tie the knot on the beach (for peanuts) or in the dreamy Wedding Gardens at San Ysidro Ranch (for $2,000). Other popular venues include historic Mission Santa Barbara, the sunken gardens at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse, wineries, ranches, resorts and private estates.

Lists of wedding venues, caterers, consultants, bakers, photographers and florists are available from the Santa Barbara Conference & Visitors Bureau, www.santabarbaraca.com or the Santa Barbara Wedding Directory, www.sbwedseek.com.
