Santa Barbara hosts Labor Day weekend studio tour

Forty-five local artists will participate in Santa Barbara's Labor Day weekend studio tour, presenting rigorous abstraction, plein-air landscapes and other varied works. The event, this year with a revamped map, features a wine-and-appetizer gallery reception Saturday.

When, where: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday to Sept. 3; a self-guided tour of studios in the Santa Barbara area. Reception 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Corridan Gallery, 125 N. Milpas St.

Admission: $20, children 11 and younger free. Buy tickets at Corridan Gallery.
