NEED TO KNOW | BOOK REVIEW
San Francisco-bound travelers with disabilities now have some help in planning their trips: Access San Francisco, a free 48-page guide compiled by Access Northern California, has detailed information on Bay Area hotels, restaurants, shops and attractions that can accommodate travelers with special needs.
Each listing in the guide has been visited by the organization, which promotes accessible travel in Northern California. Listings are broken up by region and assembled into easy-to-read charts. The guide has advice on getting to and around San Francisco and other tips.
