Las Vegas spas: More scrubs and rubs

Elemis:

A British import, beloved by many a Hollywood name (such as Renée Zellweger).

Best treatment: The Exotic Frangipani Body Nourish Float (90 minutes, $195) or the Jasmine Lulur Ritual, a cleansing ceremony first practiced in the Palace of Java in the 17th century (90 minutes, $240).

Aquae Sulis:

The Waters of Sulis — Sulis being the Celtic goddess of the bath; this spa believes in the power of detoxing the body's "third kidney" — the skin.

Best treatment: The Green Tea and Ginger Ultimate Body Facial begins with an exfoliating scrub made from grape seeds, followed by wrap of green tea, ginger root, seaweed and aloe vera. (110 minutes, $210).

The Spa at Red Rock:

Thanks to its proximity to Red Rock Canyon, this spa offers a variety of outdoor activity (hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking).

Best treatment: Ashiatsu, or "foot pressure," an ancient form of body pressure; meant to relieve chronic body pain, it was first practiced by Buddhist monks (80 minutes, $190).

Pure Liquid:

Known for its highly hydrating treatments (in a town that needs them like oxygen).

Best treatment: The Elements of 4 facial: rebalance, hydrate, detox and clarify. (60 minutes, $115).
