Summer passes for the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway are on sale now for travel between May 1 and Aug. 1. The tramway zips visitors from the desert floor to high-altitude hiking trails on Mt. San Jacinto. (Hardy souls can make the strenuous 5.5-mile trek to the 10,834-foot peak.) Or you can hang out at the cocktail lounge-restaurant at the top.

The pass, good for unlimited tram rides, costs $50 for adults and seniors, $25 for children 3 to 12 (regular price per trip: $21.95 for adults, $14.95 for kids). Info: (888) 515-8726, www.pstramway.com.

Where am I?

Should we take offense, order a drink, or what? That depends, of course, on where you think these words turned up.
