From LAX to Sydney, United, Qantas and Air New Zealand offer direct service; US Airways and American offer connecting (change of planes) service. Round-trip restricted fares start at $1,278. Connecting service from Sydney to Maroochydore airport, about half an hour from Noosa Heads, is offered on Jetstar Airways (www.jetstar.com) and Virgin Blue (www.virginblue.com.au). Round-trip restricted fares from Sydney to Maroochydore begin at $94.
