Global folk art in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Santa Fe International Folk Art Market: Billed as the largest international folk art market in the U.S., the event is expected to draw more than 100 artists from more than 40 countries. Dolls and embroidery from Afghanistan, lace from Brazil, kente weaving from Ghana, stone carving from Turkey and copper chasing from Uzbekistan are some of the featured items.

When: July 14 and 15 at Milner Plaza, outside the Museum of International Folk Art, on Camino Lejo in Santa Fe.

Admission: $15 July 14, $5 July 15; children 16 and younger free both days.
