Holiday staples -- Christmas tree lightings, mulled cider, hot chocolate, a live Nativity -- come together with unique- to-Maine holiday staples -- the lighting of the Lobster Trap Tree, a fish chowder supper, the Hat Parade -- during this annual Kennebunkport event. There will also be Christmas music concerts, a bonfire, a Champagne reception at the 1853 Nott House, fine art and crafts exhibits and sales, a holiday trolley ride and a holiday tea with a look inside a private historic home, the 1862 Capt. Moses Maling House.

When, where: Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 and Dec. 7 to 9, 2007 at various locations in Kennebunkport.

Cost: From free to $40 per person.

Info: (207) 967-0857, www.christmasprelude.com.
