San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival

Foodies flock to San Diego for the upscale event. It's billed as the largest wine and food festival in Southern California, drawing more than 7,500 people and presenting 160 wineries and 60 chefs. New this year is the Chef of the Fest competition, when one iron chef will win $50,000 in cash and prizes. Also: Bling & Bubbly, with Champagne and a fashion show, and the Grand Tasting, with wine, gourmet food, live music and more.

When, where: Nov. 14 to 18 at various San Diego venues.

Cost: $45 to $150 per person.
