At the end of 2007, Xanterra Parks and Resorts hands over a set of keys to Forever Resorts of Scottsdale, Arizona, which will manage the historic pine and limestone lodge on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Forever Resorts, current concessionaire for Signal Mountain Lodge in Wyoming's Grand Teton National Park and Chisos Mountains Lodge in Texas' Big Bend National Park, among others, plans to revamp the North Rim lodge's dining menu and complete refurbishments to popular historic cabins. Visitors will also have a new dining option: the Grand Cookout Experience, with barbecue and a historical program.

Xanterra Parks and Resorts will continue to operate the lodges on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and will take reservations for the North Rim lodge through Dec. 31, 2007.

Info: (888) 297-2757, www.xanterra.com.
