A block party starring Santa kicks off the Napa Valley town's holiday celebrations. A 2 p.m. parade ushers the big man to his post, where the kids can gather. Meanwhile, for the grown-ups, 20-plus area wineries will pour, and top regional restaurants will offer tastes. Galleries, boutiques and restaurants will extend their hours to 8 p.m.

When, where: 2 to 6 p.m. Nov. 23, along Washington Street.

Cost: Free; tasting tickets are for sale, with tastings $1 to $5.

Info: (707) 944-0904, www.yountville.com.

Where am I?
