Grab your beach towel! Hotel del Coronado, the iconic 1888-vintage resort across the bay from San Diego in Coronado, Calif., is renting out 35 new oceanfront villas and cottages.

Built on 3 acres next to the red-roofed hotel, the villas have been selling for $2.5 million and up, said Bill Dodds, vice president of development. Starting May 25, you can stay in one for $675 to $4,900 per night, depending on unit size and season. (Some units will be subdivided for rental.)

Also new is a spa with 21 treatment rooms and a fitness center. And in summer, the Del wraps up its room renovations. Info: (800) 468-3533, www.hoteldel.com.

Where am I?

Should we take offense, order a drink, or what? That depends, of course, on where you think these words turned up.
