"My 13-year-old daughter and I just stayed at a new bed-and-breakfast in Dupont Circle. What a find. They have renovated the old Taiwanese Embassy into a work of art. We will most definitely return."

Embassy Circle Guest House, 2224 R St. N.W., Washington, D.C.; (877) 232-7744, www.embassycircle.com. Doubles from $180.
