Party on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk turns 100 this year. For spring break, rides open midweek and free beach concerts are planned; meet-and-greet sessions with celebs include former TV Batman Adam West, the band Zoo Station and MTV VJ Jim Shearer; and a sushi-rolling contest, kids' dance party with Cartoon Network characters and more.

When, where: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 11 and 12; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 13.
