California's Wild West Coyote Fest

Live tunes, a pet parade, a dunk tank and other fun for the kids, margaritas for the older folks, a mechanical bull and the "Aerial Silk Dancer," who performs dangling from a crane, are among highlights of the Joshua Tree event.

When, where: Oct. 5 and 6, 2007 on Park Boulevard, one block south of California 62, across from the Joshua Tree National Park visitors center.

Admission: $5 per person.
