Family suites with kids' rooms? A gym for babies? Can this be Club Med? Mais, oui. The French resort chain, which built its reputation on swinging singles, is expanding family facilities at Club Med Ixtapa in Mexico, which is to reopen Dec. 22 after eight months of renovation. About 40% of the club's 298 rooms will be connected for families. A new Baby Club Med daycare program will serve baby food and offer activities to infants as young as 4 months; older kids get programs too.

Regular all-inclusive rates start at $1,400 per person, per week. About a third of the rooms are expected to open by Dec. 22 and the rest by mid-March. Info: (888) 932-2582, www.clubmed.com.
