Have a ball on Catalina Island

Sail aboard the 73-foot Dirigo II for a two-night trip to Catalina for the Catalina Casino Avalon Ball, sponsored by the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles. The ballroom, completed in 1929, is situated on Sugar Loaf Point at the northern end of Avalon Harbor. Guests are encouraged to dress in 1930s attire for the Saturday night ball at the casino.

Dates: Oct. 26 to 28.

Itinerary: Long Beach to Avalon, Catalina Island.

Price : $595 per person, double occupancy, including onboard accommodations, meals and tickets to the ball. Transportation to Long Beach, taxes and gratuities are not included.
